In 2019 we had 3 teams representing our Burnley Golf Club, a VGL Scratch Pennant team, a VGL Handicap Pennant team and a VGL Seniors Pennant team. Both our Scratch & Handicap team won their division finals this year and our Seniors team came runners-up in their division.

 

Our club first fielded a VGL Handicap Pennant Team, Division 9 in 2009 .

Since then we have won 6 Pennant Flags:

• 2011 VGL Div 9 Handicap

• 2014 VGL Div 8 Handicap

• 2018 VGL Div 7 Handicap

• 2019 VGL Div 6 Handicap

• 2018 VGL Div 3 Scratch

• 2019 VGL Div 2 Scratch

As 2019 winners of VGL Division 6 Handicap Pennant we move up to Division 5 as of 2021 for Handicap Pennant.

As 2019 winners of VGL Division 2 Scratch Pennant we move up to Division 1 as of 2021 for Scratch Pennant

The annual Club Match Play championships are a great way to try your skills at Match Play (the format used for Pennant) and show the team captains your skills. There will also be some pre -pennant practice games at some of the course we will be playing early in the year. Watch the newsletter for more info.
